The Compass Program offers faculty mentoring to help you navigate your Middlebury experience.
Compass Mentoring
- In the fall, you will have the opportunity to connect with one of our faculty mentors through the Middlebury Compass program. Through the mentorship program, you can meet one-on-one with these mentors to help you navigate the many resources and centers at Middlebury. Our mentors are also here to provide a safe space to build personal relationships as you begin your college experience. Importantly, these faculty mentors are not the same as academic advisors; while they can provide advice and resources for your academic interests or career path of choice, questions about your major and courses should be directed toward your academic advisor.
- Mentee engagement varies depending on your schedule and interest in the program. Some mentees meet with their mentor multiple times a semester, while others meet only annually. Either way, a check-in with a trusted faculty member can be a great way of touching base and connecting with people and centers on campus to help you navigate your social life, internship preparation, health and wellness, and so much more.
